OK folks time to try something a little different and it will take a bit of getting used to. You will all become experts on this soon enough so try it out for a while. The guest book that never was a guest book really - is gone. We can use this to do so much more. I hope my putting in the Christmas party photos and the captions will show. You will see a poll for example to choose the caption competition winner for the Donal Johno photo. This should be a place for lively discussion and I hope you all make it that way. I am going to start a few threads on things like peoples opinion on starting a 3rd team - how we feel about the sponsor - where the managers will come from next year etc. In cases where it is needed due to touchy subjects we can password protect some threads so that only signed up people i.e. ones from the club can post or view so... Please sign up for a user name and password for this board - It is not needed to post but will make things easier along the way. Even after you get a username and password you will still be able to post as a guest if you want to remain anonymous. WE can still have the banter messages of course.. Please bear with me while I try to get the right colours etc.. any suggestions would be great ... If you have any questions on the use of these boards please reply to this message below by clicking reply.... There is no confusing reply to all here. ;D

This is gonna be class. Lovely job Joe. Lads - this will take a bit of getting used to but don't flip out - its gonna be well worth it once we all get the hang of it and get some decent threads going. It will allow us to have decent discussions about topics that interest us and skip over onces that don't.

Having browsed through the legal requirements to become a member I noticed the following stipulation:
You agree, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise .......
oh well, that's us fucked.

Joe, should we set up a few distinct sections e.g.
bssl 2004 chat (maybe even split to div1, div2) othsl 2004 chat bssl 2005 chat othsl 2005 chat indoor premiership etc etc or do we want to keep it more together?

Also, on some of the other footy forums, warnings are labelled as yellow cards, and banned members are red cards, now I'm hoping we have no need for these and everyone will get along, but can we implement that? ....come to think of it, we should create a "John Law Versus X" section to save bandwidth on the 2nd team email list here just for slagging purposes! Also, those footy forums have football-esque names for the level of users e.g. sunday league, junior, amateur up to professional etc. While I'm rolling with this topic, they also can assign medals and trophies to users, can we do that for lads that have won Man of the Match etc? Check out www.evo-web.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8

I think we should lose the faded crest too, it makes the private messages section too large.
Are we planning on using pms? If not, can it be disabled?

You can create whatever thread you want yourself by clicking on the "new thread" button on the top right hand corner. I think we would want to keep most threads under the "Anything and everything" forum/board right now. I'll create a couple to get the ball rolling.

Guessing that the newest user is pykey by the choice of name and the fact that he was running around the party sat night chanting the likes of it.. What will you do when Steve Gerrard moves to Everton or something Keith .... - this is also a post to prove that you can post annomyous - We will know that people can use it when Donal Keane writes his first post... I can see him not calling in that little Seceraty he has from Northern Ireland and dictating the posts he wants to write to her... Go on keano

;D Need to get more than 10 minutes for the over 30's need to keep posting as much as possible - so you can graduate up through the ranks by posting - sorry to the auld lads but the lowlest level you can be is 10 minutes for the over 30s. As you put in more posts you will go up through the ranks - and it only takes 10 to get to the next level...
