The A team game against Sports Identity at Danehy was postponed.
The B team suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat away to runaway league leaders Middlesex.
The C team's bid for the Div. 3 title came up just short as they lost 3-2 to league winners The Playwright. A couple of questionable calls ended up being the difference, but they gave it everything, and can be very proud of achieving promotion to Div. 2. Golascorers were Mark Smethers and Andy Sumner.
The Over 30s had a magnificent 3-0 win over league leaders Mansfield RBK. After 3 successive draws with Mansfield, and despite missing a number of key players, the boys put one over on their arch-rivals. Scorers were Johnny Kilpatrick, Paul Mahon and an own goal. Additional congratulations to B team stalwart Mike Kizuik who is now the proud father of twins - a boy and a girl. Holly gave birth in the early hours of Sunday, October 28th. It has not yet been confirmed whether Mike made it from Tommy Doyle's in time for the delivery. The ultimate spinning of The Wheel of Kiz.
Finally, congratulations to C team manager Johnny Law, whose busy weekend included tying the knot with Me Julie in an emotional ceremony in Wellesley on Sunday. He is now on honeymoon in Hawaii and his reward for securing promotion is 3 rounds of golf. Best wishes to you both!
