Does anybody know the 'JinnyJoe' nursery rhyme/limerick/song...
'JinnyJoe, JinnyJoe bring me back a ..... '
I can't remember the rest and can't find it on the web. Could be exclusive Irish, Dublin, or even Finglas folklore, but if any of you boys have an idea what I'm on about and are not too ashamed by this nonsense, please post something

I don't think there's a limerick as such, just, 'Jinny Joe Jinny Joe bring me back and egg' and from what I remember it was to do dandelion seeds.
A dandelion has a yellow flower initially, know as wet the beds (evidently smelling them mad you wet the bed.!?!.)
Anyway it then moves into that fluffy white stage with egg shaped seed attached to a parachute like part of this puffy ball. This is broken up and the seeds are dispersed by the wind (or breath of a budding cowboy in Finglas).
The egg shaped seeds can be found blowing around on the parachute yoke and kids catch them, pull off the seed and blow it off again into the wind shouting after it....Jinny Joe Jinny Joe, Bring me back an egg.
Or at least they did before x-box and i-pods and all that modern rubbish. : /
Hope all's well with ya'. A.

Thanks Aido - somehow as I wrote that thread message I had you in my mind, and it gave me strength to follow through with it. And thanks for beating John O Toole to the buzzer.
I dont know - I was sure there was a rhyme in it. "Jinny Joe Jinny Joe bring me back an egg" is too prosaic for Finglas, there had to have been a rhyme or at least a three syllabic object "fucking egg" maybe, or "eggyo" even. Was it eggy-yo? It might have been. Seriously, does that ring any bells for you? "Eggy-yo"? I think that was it
