Ten minutes into the 1st team's game against Harvard Medical, Barry McNulty came off worst in a 50-50.
Unusually for the Donegal man, he didn't pop straight back up and get on with the game, so it was clear from the beginning it was a bad one.
The age old question of how many of Harvard Medical actually live up to the name was answered when one whirt shirted lad stepped up to make what turned out to be a perfect diagnosis of mid shaft tibula break.
The ambulance duly arrived and whisked Baz off to MGH I was told, so off I took to MGH to hold young Barry's hand. The day's events took a shocking turn when I switched on my iPod to pass away the time only to discover that all my tunes were missing...how could this day get worse I hear you ask?
Turns out the ambulance boyos changed their mind mid-journey and sped Baz to Mount Auburn hospital instead.
Anyhoo, the xrays showed a fairly clean tibula break which will be operated on tomorrow (Sunday) before he is released back in to the Cambridgedating riding sympathy-from-young-wimmen scene on Monday, so pop in lads and let him know how great a night out he missed at TDs on Saturday night, and how you may or may not have bagged off with his one from the bar.
To provide a bit of silver lining to the day's cloud, the lads won the game on a golden goal, and my iPod recovered itself when jacked up to the laptop. Phew, thought my whole day was ruined there for a moment.
Baz is doing well, he's gozzled more morphine than Donal uses to nobble his nag, and was in good spirits following visits from Keano, Ian, Jayo & Kelliher.
Here's to a speedy recovery Baz, the right wing won't be the same without ya (int that right Shane?)
