Revere, Beverly, Newton and Acton are the only ones that are close enough to use.
I will check out the prices and availability for Newton and Acton. -Barry

I called Danehy Park and they said they don't rent the astro-turf to adults in the evening. I tried to explain that we are very immature but no budging.

I am continuing to hassle the State (used to be called MDC - now Dept of Conserv. & Rec) for lit pitches -this would include Connell field in Hyde Pk where we used to train, Dilboy,Foss Pk, etc. I have tried previously this year with no joy, but back to the well......

John Smith Soccer Center is in Milford MA, about 45 mins from Cambridge..
here is the reply my email asking about rental times, cost-let me know what I should reply with ie, if we are interested, what nights, how much time each night, how many fields-they have 2 decent sized fields with Field Turf under lights-comfortably play 7 a side -Barry
Hi Barry, Yes we do have lots of time available for you to rent. I will just check with Linda this afternoon as to the availability of Mon, Wed or Fri nights. Are you looking for all three of those nights or just one of those nights for 2 hours? Let me know. I will also check with John about the rental rate. Also would this be for Sept and Oct only? Obviously time gets more booked, and therefore more expensive, as we move into Nov. when our leagues start. Let me know and I will try to get back to you this afternoon. Felicity Smith Day

Here is the reply to my inquiry about Tues Thurs and the price
Hi Barry, Thanks for your prompt reply. I think we can accomodate all three teams if that is what you would like. Right now, Tues and Thurs nights 8-10pm are wide open on both arenas. Monday night from 8-10pm is wide open on one arena. The off-season price is $100/hour per arena. The peak season cost is $185, so I think you will find it a good deal. Let us know what you would like to do and we can start next week. Thank you, Felicity Smith Day

Just to remind any that need reminding .... we have a an astroturf (the new type, like upstairs Danehy) pitch, with lights, on Thursday nights, through the efforts of Mikcey Mac. Part of the deal is we go back to the Banshee pub (around the corner on Dot Ave) for a few pints and/or food. Please plan on doing so, if at all possible, so that we can keep this facility.
